Hi folks,

Thought I'd update you on things going on in the world of ZOIDBERG.

Firstly, we have finally, after what seems an eternity, recorded, and on the verge of mastering our first EP.

To say we have not had troubles with the EP is an understatement. Just like many unsigned bands, things boil down to finance and it has taken quite sometime due to such. Also, with the artwork in place a massive ‘bombshell’ was dropped the other week as we had to rename the EP as we seem to have the same taste in names as the Stereophonics!

So the new EP is entitled ‘The Blue Room’ a name close to our hearts as it’s the name of the place where the songs have been created and practiced. Despite all, we think the tracks are pretty damn good and plan to release our first single ‘Just Confused’ in Jan 2010 under Swindon based Record company Gatehouse Records.

It contains 5 tracks: 'Just Confused’, 'Sex on TV', 'Politics By Numbers', 'The Things I’ve Been' and 'Speak to Strangers'.

There is also a strong possibility that it will come with at least 1bonus track.

We have also recently been featured in NME’s Blaine Truth column. Check out the article on which we did actually do quite well, considering the fact that normally bands get an absolute slating but we managed to survive the wraths of Blaine!

Here's what we've got in the way of gigs between now and whenever, including a good slot with the City Riot at the Vic on the 30th October as part of their Get Loaded nights! Just looking to hibernate and write new tunes over the Winter to get ready for 2010!

Oh yeah, if anyone knows of any keys players interested in playing for us then please get in contact. We have stacks of material that we are looking to add to our sound!
